The Shaw family and Nora MX 2020 Team welcome you to your Revised Nora MX 2020 Race season.

Thank you all for all your support at Grittenham Round 1 both on and off the track and we appreciate your positive and constructive feedback.

Covid 19 Virus has not gone away so we all must remain cautious and mindful and we as a family appreciate your understanding for the following changes that we have put in place so we can continue our race season in line with ACU and Government advise, and with everyone’s health and safety a priority.

  • On line Entries only via the ACU and only by acceptation entry via Nora telephone (at discretion of the Nora MX Club Secretary).

  • Day licences will need to be pre purchased with entry.

  • Gates open 2pm Saturday and 6.30am Sunday.

  • Signing on by Secretary of the meeting at gate.2pm –7pm Sat and 6.30am Sunday. Transponder hire & collection and any Event admin will be next to the timing lorry – open 2pm – 7pm Sat and 7-8.30am Sunday.

  • Camping open from 2pm on Saturday and £10 fee paid at the Gate on entry - please display camping ticket on your dashboard. You will also receive a camping lottery ticket – please bring with you to the riders briefing on race morning (snooze you lose).

  • No digging holes in the pit / paddock area to level up campers or caravans.

  • Vehicle parking, all vehicles to be parked as per the social distancing parking instructions of Nora MX club officials – all vehicles to be parked with awning / door side to your neighbours’ blank side.

  • Additional cars will be parked in a separate zone.

  • No Public Spectators.

  • Hand sanitizer stations positioned around pit areas.

  • Please respect all social distancing and guidance signage as per ACU regulations (this is your club and as members, riders and accompanying family we ask you all to help us make this a successful event).

  • Please take your Rubbish Home. (Bags will be given to you at the entry gate).

  • Scrutineering under the Yamaha tent in the pits (Push bikes to scrutineering) 4 – 7pm Saturday and 7.30 – 8,30am Sunday (Don't forget Helmets) and will be as per ACU Covid19 special arrangements: - Machines/helmets/body armour etc. will be inspected visually by the Technical Official - under the supervision of the Technical Official the competitor will be instructed to demonstrate the working condition of brakes, throttle and footrests etc. A visual inspection of the helmet for signs of damage and the presence of a gold stamp will be carried out without handling the item.

  • NO starting bike engines before 8.45am Sunday.

  • Please remember Dogs Welcome on leads at all times.

  • The surrounding fields, farm land, wooded areas are totally out of bounds to everyone. Anyone found in these area’s will be asked to leave our Nora meeting immediately.

  • Camping and Walking the track – If track grading / watering is in progress NO one will be allowed access to the circuit until Sunday morning for safety reasons. NO food or drink to be taken on the track while inspecting the track.

  • Children – All minors should be under supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times. There is continual vehicle movement throughout the site.

  • No Campfires.

  • BBQ’s on Stands.

  • No loud music after 10.30pm and generators of at 11pm.

  • Jet washing – There is NO jet washing permitted in the Pit/ Paddock area. There is a purpose area for jet washing by the cabin with a few stand pipes supplying water.

  • Fencing – Please DO NOT climb on or over the fencing.

  • NO BICYCLES.

  • Noise Testing will be carried out. The organisers / Clerk of the Course will at random carry out noise testing during any race day.

  • Quad Bikes in PIT / Paddock area to be ridden at WALKING pace only.

  • Nora MX 2020 a “play nicely” on and off the track and including on social media as poor or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Saturday 1 Aug 2020

  • Gate open for Camping from 2pm

  • Signing on at gate.2pm – 7pm Sat

  • Transponder hire & collection and any Event admin next to timing truck – 2pm – 7pm Sat.

*Note – All qualifying and rider placement at organisers discretion during the race season.

Ladies Championship to be contested within the Inters / Novice group.

Final standings from end of round 1 will determine start position at round 2 and so on…...

All bikes need to display your correct race number on front & rear number boards, if incorrect then this will need to be rectified before you can race.

  • Rip n Roll Holeshot Prize – Novice (first race of the day)

(Goggles – Please come to the Race Truck to Collect, kindly sponsored by Rip N Roll).

Race Day Marshals: -

8.15 – 8,30 am Marshalls meet at rear of race truck to sign on and collect Marshalls PPE packs, lunch voucher, flags.

8.30 Marshalls briefing and on marshal points 9.15am.

FLAG SIGNALS

The following flag signals will be used:

  • All Riders must stop. Riders must not pass any red flag unless authorised or directed to do so and then proceed at a slow pace.

  • Black with the rider’s number clearly shown on a board That rider to stop racing immediately and leave the track.

  • Yellow Motionless Danger, take care. ride with caution.

  • Yellow Waved Great Danger, prepare to stop, no overtaking. A significant reduction in speed must be seen, therefore jumps should not be attempted.

  • Green Riders under starter’s orders.

  • Yellow with Black Cross Last Lap

  • Chequered Finish.

  • White with green Cross Raised & Motionless Medical attention required at that post. riders must significantly reduce speed and roll each jump individually with no overtaking until past the area of concern

  • Only authorised officials are permitted to use these flags. Any rider who is judged to have taken unfair advantage whilst a yellow flag is displayed and waved, or ignored any other flag signal, may be disqualified.

9.00am Riders Briefing - all riders must attend. (don’t forget your camping lottery ticket – prize to be won!).

Pro and Pro Am Riders please have bikes ready in the holding area.

Quad Bikes in PIT / Paddock to and from Start and Finish areas MUST ridden at WALKING pace only.

Sunday Rd 2 - 9.30am – 3 Lap practice

Pro & Pro Am - 3 lap Practise

Masters A / B - 3 lap Practise

250 Group - 3 lap Practise

50/100cc Group - 3 lap Practise

Elite & Clubman - 3 lap Practise

Inters & Novice 3 lap Practise

Pro /& Pro Am 20 Minutes + 1 lap

Masters A & B - 15 Minutes + 1 lap

250’s Group - 12 Minutes + 1 lap

50/100 cc - 10 Minutes + 1 lap
