The Shaw family and Nora MX 2020 Team welcome you to your Revised Nora MX 2020 Race season.
Firstly, thank you all for your patience and support over the past 5 months of uncertainty due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
This Virus has not gone away so let us all be cautious and mindful and we as a family appreciate your understanding for the following changes that we have put in place so we can continue our race season in line with ACU and Government advise, and with everyone’s health and safety a priority.
On line Entries only via the ACU and only by acceptation entry via Nora telephone (at discretion of the Nora MX Club Secretary.
Day licences will need to be pre purchased with entry.
Gates open 2pm Saturday and 6,30am Sunday.
Signing on by Secretary of the meeting at gate.2pm – 8pm Sat and 6.30am Sunday
Camping open from 2pm on Saturday and £10 fee paid at the Gate on entry - please display camping ticket on your dashboard. You will also receive a camping lottery ticket – please bring with you to the riders briefing on race morning (snooze you lose).
Vehicle parking, all vehicles to be parked as per the social distancing parking instructions of Nora MX club officials – all vehicles to be parked with awning / door side to your neighbours’ blank side.
Additional cars will be parked in a separate zone and may require a short walk to pit / race area.
No Public Spectators.
Hand sanitizer stations positioned around pit areas.
Please respect all social distancing and guidance signage as per ACU regulations (this is your club and as memberships and accompanying family we ask you all to help us make this a successful event).
Please take your Rubbish Home. (Bags will be given to you at the entry gate).
Scrutineering under the Yamaha tent in the pits 2 – 8pm Saturday and 7.30 – 8,30am Sunday (Don't forget Helmets) and will be as per ACU Covid19 special arrangements:- Machines/helmets/body armour etc. will be inspected visually by the Technical Official - under the supervision of the Technical Official the competitor will be instructed to demonstrate the working condition of brakes, throttle and footrests etc. A visual inspection of the helmet for signs of damage and the presence of a gold stamp will be carried out without handling the item.
Transponder hire and collection at back of timing truck including any admin / signing on queries 2-8pm Saturday and 7-8.30 am Sunday.
No Tannoy on site.
NO starting bike engines before 9.30am Sunday.
Kill switches will be checked in holding area at practise / qualifying session.
Please remember Dogs Welcome on leads.
BBQ’s on Stands.
No loud music after 10.30pm and generators of at 11pm.
No ACU Championships to be run in revised 2020 season, Nora MX club championships only.
Noise Testing will be carried out. The organisers / Clerk of the Course will at random carry out noise testing during any race day.
Adult Open - Qualifying for Group position.
1 sighting lap and 10 minutes timed qualifying.
2/3 groups dependant on rider entrant level.
Master A & B - Qualifying for start gate position.
1 sighting lap and 3 laps timed qualifying.
(rider to be 40 year of age or over - at date of first meeting – 19th July 2020).
250’s - Qualifying for start gate position
1 sighting lap and 3 laps timed qualifying.
100’s 50’s - Qualifying for start gate position
1 sighting lap, 8 minutes timed qualifying.
Master A (O40)
*Note – All qualifying and rider placement at organisers discretion during the race season.
Ladies Championship to be contested within the Inters / Novice group.
All Riders moving up from the 250 groups, note that their qualifying times will be classed into relevant Clubman Elite, Clubman, Inters and Novice in descending timed order and will not be placed into Pro or Pro Am groups. This is to allow the young riders to develop and grow through the ranks of the adult groups.
Final standings from end of round 1 will determine start position at round 2 and so on……
Nora MX 2020 a “play nicely” on and off the track and including on social media as poor or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
All bikes need to display your correct race number on front & rear number boards, if incorrect then this will need to be rectified before you can race.
Rip n Roll Holeshot Prize – Clubman Class (first race of the day)(Goggles – Please come to the Race Truck to Collect, kindly sponsored by Rip N Roll).
Also, Lucky Peg Prize - Masters B Class – You lucky Master B riders will have game rules explained at the riders briefing.
Race Day Marshalls:-
8.15 – 8,30 am Marshalls meet at rear of race truck to sign on and collect Marshalls PPE packs, lunch voucher, flags.
8.30 Marshalls briefing and on marshal points 9.15am.

8.30am Riders Briefing - all riders must attend. (don’t forget your camping lottery ticket – prize to be won!).
Masters A and B Riders please have bikes ready in the holding area.
Sunday Rd 1 - 9.00am - Timed practice/qualifying for class or gate position
Masters A / B - 1 sighting lap and 3 laps timed qualifying – for gate position
250 Group - 1 sighting lap and 3 laps timed qualifying – for gate position
50/100cc Group - 1 sighting lap and 8 Minutes timed qualifying – for gate position
Novice - 1 sighting lap and 10 minutes timed qualifying. – for class position
Pro/Pro Am - 1 sighting lap and 10 minutes timed qualifying. – for class position
Clubman/Elite - 1 sighting lap and 10 minutes timed qualifying. – for class position
Masters A / B - 12 Minutes + 1 lap
250’s Group - 12 Minutes + 1 lap
50/100cc - 10 Minutes + 1 lap
Inters / Novice - 12 Minutes + 1 lap
Pro / Pro Am 17 Minutes + 1 lap
Elite / Clubman - 15 Minutes + 1 lap
Race times are for guidance only, Race durations are subject to change depending on conditions.
